WiMAX Forum selects ADT as first certification test lab in Taiwan

The WiMAX Forum has selected Taiwan-based Advance Data Technology (ADT) as the first Asian certification test lab to offer both fixed and mobile WiMAX certification services starting October this year, according to an ADT press release.
ADT will be authorized to offer WiMAX member companies certification testing to certify conformity and interoperability of WiMAX products at the same levels as the WiMAX Forums' lead certification testing partner, AT4 Wireless in Spain, ADT said.
ADT provides comprehensive testing and certification services covering a wide range of industrial standards, including EMC, RF, TELECOM, SAFETY, SAR, Wi-Fi, DTV and now WiMAX. The company also delivers technical consultation in product design and test system integration, the company said.
Since the WiMAX Forum is planning to establish two certification test labs in Taiwan, the Forum is expected to continue to hold talks with related Taiwan-based testing companies to open the second lab, according to market sources.
